Waiting for PC guy to come along and fix my USBs.
I'm nobody without my USBs.

I've been in a foul mood for some time now. I blame real life, aging and the fact my tolerance for human kind has seemed to have exhausted itself. I do keep some company and I was reading an e-mail from one of the few people who I had managed to bond with in this blasted city (who stayed a year and then went back to that island where it rains all the time, but the curry is to die for). She was telling me how surprised she was I knew who so and so was, since she thought the person was mainly known in England. It made me think of how easy it is to access information, how small the world has become - all that parc.

Except it's not entirely true. Perhaps some cultures, or what passes for it these days, have reached far and wide - but I doubt all cultures have enjoyed the same global flux.

So, food for thought. Or not.

Amitabh Bachchan.
Salah ad-Din Yusuf.
Machado de Assis.
Qin Shi Huangdi.
Eugene Onegin.

Do you have any idea who these blokes are? What they do/have done? Where they came from?

Try it first without google, yahoo or any other search engine.

Have a nice day - free of telemarketing, bad vapors and/or waiting in line.
