I'm not even going to begin talking politics - what for? What I can say is that here, a very poor and officially third world country, people can't believe that a rich nation like the USA could be so inept at taking care of its own people. Though, when the driver said today, "It's the same everywhere, isn't it? Nobody cares when it's the poor people doing the dying." I remembered all the people I know who are doing something and who do care.

My Little Endless set is now in its custom made shadowbox, secure and on display. I had to build a whole new bookshelf for it and that came out nicely. Other than the Little brethren, it now houses my Sandman set, my growing deluxe Sandman in Portuguese set (an issue every three months - never too late to learn patience), Mr. Punch and all the other graphic novels (I think by now I have them all), the books (a growing collection) and my Dave McKean stuff (including a beautiful copy of Cages, given to me by the young'un). I think that by now I can say that I'm a fan. To think this started with Wolves coming out of Walls...
You wouldn't believe what a dull day I've had - full of things to do that led nowhere when done with - and by now it's raining too heavily and it's too late to un-dull-ify it... Not all is lost though; Young Bysshe is lying idly on my bed, calling to me.
To bed then.

Date: 2005-09-06 11:17 pm (UTC)I'm always changing the order of my books - different connections to different books will influence where they go. I'll add dolls, statues, postcards to my bookshelves - it's chaotic at first glance, but it means something. At least it does to me.
