Where I am - except now there's rain

I had been complaining to anybody saintly enough to lend me an ear about being stuck at the beach.

I know you may consider my illusions of omnipotency infantile, but sometimes I do think it is me: it's going to rain all week. Last time they tried to send me to the beach the county was flooded and the place was declared a disaster area - mercifully hurricane season is behind us.
