Jon to host Oscars

Just when I think I've gotten too old and depressing to breath, something like this comes along to brighten my migraine.

So, the teen just e-mailed me from across the room [the joy of wireless and laptops] to let me know that Jon [our Jon since she gave in and watched my Daily Show stash] is going to host the Oscars. Here's hoping for the new Bob Hope era and not a Letterman. I have great hopes for Jon.
